My name is Melissa (Mel), and I've been in the pet care business for 15 years. I'm a certified dog trainer and veterinary assistant. I offer private in-home training services.  I work with dogs of all breeds and life stages.  One of the most valuable things we can do as pet parents is learn how to communicate effectively with our dogs and understand what mechanisms they use to communicate with us.  I strive to help our pet parents enhance their connection with their dogs, and help their pups build a positive emotional connection with their environment. I can help with all types of behavior-related issues- just call or text today to learn more!  The cost is $120 for a 60-90 minute, private lesson.   I also provide dog walking services to ensure your dog(s) get the exercise and socialization they need each day.  When you call to book an appointment, I take the time to connect and address all of your goals for your dog's walk.  This might include anything from exercise or walking well on leash, to confidence building and addressing reactivity.  I strive to enhance your dog's physical and emotional health. After each walk, pet parents receive a doggy log that includes: GPS check-in and check-out, a picture, and a walk report. Dog walking runs $50 per walk/hr. I understand the importance of balanced physical and mental canine health, and use positive reinforcement methods in my training and dog walking approach.
