Hi there my name is Ian. I am a Niskayuna based animal sitter/care taker interested in meeting and caring for your animals on a short term basis including overnight stays. Boarding may be available after a meeting. Duration and rates are negotiable. Most of my 15 years of experience is with dogs and cats, from very young to geriatric. Complex medication routines are not a problem for me. I have cared for dogs who where Elderly, Incontinent, Blind, Going blind, Diabetic, Anxious, Separation anxiety, Mild aggression, Victims of recent abuse, Both puppies and older dogs with strict and lengthy medical regimens. Kittens and cats with Infections, Worms, Diabetes and Asthma. I have experience with Oral Tablet/Liquid, Topical medications, Eye drops, Injections, Blood sugar testing, Special diets and Asthma treatments, Emergency vet visits. I have also taken care of fish needing water tests and treatments, I am willing to watch just about any animal though. Whatever your critter has to throw at me will be met with compassion, dedication and if need be a mop or even a vet visit. I love to play with and walk other peoples pets encouraging playful and exploratory exercise at their own pace but I am happy to sit with them and let them know they are loved just as much as they are willing to let me.
