If I had to choose one quote to describe the way I live my life it would be, "I slept and I dreamed that life is all joy. I woke and I saw that service is joy." That being said, who better to serve than "man's best friend" and our feline friends? Let's not limit ourselves there though, I have also provided pet sitting services to many other domestic animals, such as chickens/roosters, and ducks. Besides being an animal lover, I am also a single parent with sole custody of my 3.5 year old daughter. I aim to find work that we both enjoy, and that I can bring her to while simultaneously further developing her sense of empathy (she is already exceptionally gentle!), teaching her a sense of responsibility by caring for living creatures, and building a sense of community for the both of us. I believe this will be more likely if I provide pet sitting services to pets that are comfortable with being in the presence of 2 kindred spirits (my daughter and me). I truly believe all living beings, especially animals and children are gifts from the Creator, so it makes sense to give them the quality care they deserve!
