From a young age, I was always interested in animals and cared for their wellbeing. I wanted to become a veterinarian when I was little so I made sure to get a lot of experience in animal care. I worked as an Animal Caretaker during my high school years (Sep 2007- June 2011). I had to provide care by cleaning, feeding, providing medication and socializing with the animals in our mammal and reptile labs. I volunteered for the ASPCA (Jan 2011 - April 2012), where I had to socialize with the animals and walk the dogs. I also have my own personal experience with pets. All the animals that I provided care for include; cats, dogs, rabbits, Guinea pigs, hamsters, mice, rats, chinchillas, birds, fish, turtles (land and water), geckos, lizards, and snakes. Even though I changed my profession into teaching, I still love spending time with animals.
