Pet Sitter in Huntington, New York

I grew up with Golden Retrievers.... Sometimes we had more than one from the same litter.! Oh and the kitties that we could not resist to rescue were loyal and grateful for a loving home with other furry friends. I also had one Kitty that I rescued from the wilderness in Mont auk where my parents resided. I was visiting for a weekend with my husband... We came home from dinner one night, and this baby kitty had managed to climb his way up the many steps where he waited for us on the top deck. He had been pecked or poked by a branch in his left eye. He was covered with some kind with fleas, clearly starving. I fed him my left over filet mingnon and the bond was never to be broken. I named him Montauk. He was more than a cat... He was my best friend, he was so enamored with me that he actually flirtted with me.! No joke... He would try to catch my attention, sneak up to me and then look the other way... LoL He was my boy. My husband and I used to travel to Florida frquently for his business and a Charity that we were involved with that revolved around Golf Outings. Montauk would cry from the moment I packed my bag. It broke my heart every time I had to leave him there screaming for me not to leave him. Fortunately, there lived a woman next door that also traveled often with her husband. She had a cat too. She was very finicky and temperamental with people. The story goes.... My new friend and I relied on one another sooo much, due to the single fact that we both understood that it was not just about feeding the cat and cleaning the litter while the other was away; More importantly, spend some quality time each time we went in to check upon the wellness of our dear furry friends. Needless to say; She and I had soon become challenged in scheduling our travel dates. We would have to check with one another and sometimes I would have to beg my husband to change our schedule. I would not ever leave Montauk boy with someone that I do not think will consider this job important enough, or not understand the importance of the whole approach to offer excellent care. I take this quality of a person very seriously as I am pretty sure you do too. Now I am divorced. Several years later... My new cottage does not allow pets. I am lonely for the comfort of my best friend always being right there by my side.... It would be my pleasure, to spend some quality time with your animals.! I really know how important it is when they hear you walk in the door... Knowing they are not alone. Someday I will surely live on a farm somewhere...
