Hi! My name is Laurie Lewis. I'm an experienced pet sitter (your home) and dog walker. With 7 years experience pet sitting and dog walking for clients, family, and friends, I am reliable, responsible and a loving pet care provider. I love dogs and cats of all sizes, ages, and breeds as well as other types of pets. As a child and an adult I cared for dogs, cats, and fish. I always love and enjoy them as a members of my family. I know how to develop a healthy trusting bond quickly with the new client pets which eliminates any anxiety your pets may have with a new person caring for them so they feel safe, secure, cared for, and loved. As I engage with your pet I play, give affectionate attention, provide a safe environment always, potty breaks, pickup and discard feces as it occurs, scoop litter boxes, administer oral/topical medication plus several other tasks while you are away such as water house/deck potted plants, curb trash and recycling, bring in mail/packages as needed. I also provide support to families house breaking puppies by providing check-in visits and using positive training methods. For elderly pets I give them loving attention but know when to give them their space. I take care to handle them gently as many have arthritis and other health issues. Most of the elderly dogs and cats love me to massage their sore joints. I give them loving attention and plenty of time to respond to basic commands as some need extra time to process and respond. They can at times become confused and a bit fearful so I will sit down with them and provide calming gentle affection and relaxation. I will also clean-up messes as many elderly pets have issues with fecal incontinence, poor eye sight and judgement As a pet siitter I offer Check-In Visits and/or Overnight stays. I am insured and bonded for your peace of mind. When caring for your pet I follow your explicit instructions. I would be excited and very happy to care for your pet for as long as you need me.
