Hello! I'm Maggie. I am in Highschool and looking for jobs over the summer. I live near Cheboygan, MI. I love cats and dogs, and have had quite a few fish over the years, so I am capable of handling those types of animals. I love to get outside and go for a walk/hike, making me very compatible with dogs who need to get out and exercise! I can also pet sit during the day to provide the peace of mind that your furry friend is not cooped up in the house all alone. I am more favorable to jobs that require my time for 2-3 hours.

While i am limited with what i can offer, your pet is gonna get my best. Im 20 and ive had two different dogs over roughly 15 of those years, I can offer basics such as walking dogs, yes even reactive dogs! send those love bugs my way! Need help taking care of secondary animals in the home, and grooming needs such as bathing, ear cleanings and nail clipping? I can help with that too! Ive also got some experience in basic training commands just to make life a little bit easier! Im just now taking my skills to an outside level but for the past 5 years ive been the designated petsitter for my extended family, ive done overnights, weekends and extended stays taking care of a different array of animals such as reptiles, cats, dogs, goats, and horses. While i do wish i could offer care at my home I have a resuce dog who is a tad fear reactive so any care would have to be at home base :) No firm pay rate, willing to work out costs and options :)

Factors that impact pet sitting cost

Planning a trip as a pet owner? Hiring a pet sitter is an excellent solution for care for your furry friend. Before you hire a pet sitter, it's important to understand the factors that affect the cost of their services:

  • Time and Duration - Pet sitters usually charge either a daily or hourly rate. The length of time you require care for will affect your final costs. Many pet sitters will also offer package deals and discounts for longer bookings.
  • Your pet’s needs - Consider the frequency of your dog's walks, or your cat's feeding schedule. Different services will have different prices. Some pet sitters also offer extra services like administering medication, grooming, or even behavioral training, which may increase the cost.
  • Location - The cost of pet care will range across the country city-by-city depending on the cost of living in your city area.
  • Years of Experience - The level of experience of the pet sitter will also have a factor on pricing. More experienced sitters, with professional backgrounds in behavioural or medical training may charge a higher rate, than a less specialized sitter.
