Pet Sitter in Syracuse, New York

Hi! My name is Jillian Matson, I'm 24 years old and a current student pursuing a doctorate degree at the Le Moyne occupational therapy program. I am very interested in caring for pets specifically because of my love and knowledge of animals. I have owned and cared for dogs my whole life. I have been horseback riding for about 13 years, and I have owned/cared for 2 horses. I moved to Syracuse in May, but I moved from a farm with 6 goats, a handful of ducks, chickens, 2 dogs, and I recently adopted a hedgehog. Coincidentally, I have been thinking about the calming nature of animals, and how this could be harnessed in a therapeutic setting. I ended up doing my research project on animal therapy last semester, and I plan to expand on that research. I am an avid runner and have been running since I was about 14. I know the area well now because I run 10 miles a day on average. I know where all the safe walking areas are, and I even have a few classmates that bring their dogs to various dog parks in the area. They have all gotten along very well, and they are all very friendly. If this interests you, I could bring your dog to mingle with the other pups. I also love running with dogs if that would be something you would want me to do.
