Hello! My name is Gia, I'm 20 years old, and I love animals! I have owned, loved, and taken care of animals my entire life. Throughout the past 20 years I have owned 10 cats, 3 horses, 2 dogs (one was a puppy), 3 rats, 1 hamster, and 1 snake. In 2022, I worked at a dog boarding kennel for seven months. I worked with dogs as small as a book and as big as a miniature horse. There I learned how to bathe them and brush their teeth properly but I unfortunately do not know how to groom them otherwise, such as haircuts, nail clipping, or ear cleaning, The most important thing I learned from this job is how to read a dogs’ body language. I know when your dog is uncomfortable anxious, sad, happy, lonely, bored, angry, etc. In 2023. I worked at an animal hospital for six months. I was working as another boarder but I spent an immense amount of time in the medical wing, I learned a lot about diseases, infections, disorders, and how they are treated. So I know what a sick animal looks like too, which is a great quality to have when watching over your pets! I worked with cats, dogs, rodents, birds, reptiles, and so many more! I also learned how to read cat body language here, too. The most important thing about me is that I am first aid and CPR certified for cats and dogs, and have been for over a year now! I will prove my certification to you by showing you my certificate online and in person. I have never had to perform CPR on a cat or a dog before and I hope to keep it that way. However, if I need to save your beloved pet, I will be able to. My rate is $15.00 an hour but I am willing to negotiate with you depending on your circumstances. I am willing to work weekdays, weekends, early mornings, very late nights, overnight, multiple overnights, multiple days in a row, weeks in a row, anything that you need! I have no obligations keeping me from working overnight and/or for multiple days/overnights in a row. I am also okay with working with different species at once. I will always keep you updated ahead of time if for some reason I will not be available on a certain day or at a certain time. Whatever you require, I swear to get it done. I want you and your pets to be happy! I appreciate you for taking the time to read what I've had to say. Thank you for considering hiring me to work for you and your wonderful pets. I truly hope to hear from you soon!

Factors that impact pet sitting cost

Planning a trip as a pet owner? Hiring a pet sitter is an excellent solution for care for your furry friend. Before you hire a pet sitter, it's important to understand the factors that affect the cost of their services:

  • Time and Duration - Pet sitters usually charge either a daily or hourly rate. The length of time you require care for will affect your final costs. Many pet sitters will also offer package deals and discounts for longer bookings.
  • Your pet’s needs - Consider the frequency of your dog's walks, or your cat's feeding schedule. Different services will have different prices. Some pet sitters also offer extra services like administering medication, grooming, or even behavioral training, which may increase the cost.
  • Location - The cost of pet care will range across the country city-by-city depending on the cost of living in your city area.
  • Years of Experience - The level of experience of the pet sitter will also have a factor on pricing. More experienced sitters, with professional backgrounds in behavioural or medical training may charge a higher rate, than a less specialized sitter.
