Hello! My name is Mandy, I am a senior at Apex Friendship High School and I'm very excited to be joining Rover as a dog-walker and pet-sitter :) My entire childhood I've grown up with animals, in the most recent 8 years my family has fostered a 5 year old pit-bull terrier (M) , a 12 year old beagle (M), and as of April 2016- we adopted my 6 year old pit-bull terrier Diamond Coco Williams (F). So I wholeheartedly understand how important it is to treat fur babies with kindness and love when they're in my care. More recently in my high school career I have been offering my dog-walking and pet-sitting services to neighbor's and close family friends and I appreciated the opportunity to be hired for my services and companionship, it gave me valuable experience and insight on how to give the best care to people's pets. Teaming up with Rover- I am hoping to expand my services to the broader triangle area ( Holly Springs, Apex, and Fuquay-Varina, etc.) and gain even more experience as a pet-sitter. I am currently working part-time 3 days a week but scheduling and fitting in client's when they need quality pet-care is of the upmost importance to me; so I make sure to set specific times during the week/weekends in which I can dedicate all my time and energy to sessions via Rover. Having been a pet owner/foster parent for the past 8 years I have had a lot of experience determining pet-specific needs based on a client's home environment or dog-walking route of choice and have learned to fulfill them accordingly. I am also adept at monitoring pets in order to ensure their safety and wellbeing, whether that means developing a certain exercise program for pet-owners looking to use walks as a way to help their fur baby lose weight, or providing medication ( heartworm/flee and tick tablets, etc.) to pets during their mealtimes. In regards to a safe pet-sitting environment It is extremely important to me that a pet's living area is cleaned and sanitized constantly and I take that part of my job vary seriously
