When I first meet a dog they always want to get to know me and feel my vibes. I can say that I have a very warm, approachable, friendly peraonality and I believe dogs can sense that. Then once I pet them and give them attention they always want to be around me. From being so warm and welcoming I believe they becomd comfortable depending on the dog. Some dogs are slow to warm up when approaching a new face. But I will take the time to show them out for walks, run with them, and play games like fetch or frisbee. After that they love my company and I always catch them smiling or wagging their tails of excitement for whats to come next.
