I have professional dog walking experience, and used to be Training Director for the National Versatile Hunting Dog Association (NVDA) in upstate N.Y. chapter. I am experienced with: dogs, cats, birds, turtles, fish, ferrets, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, hermit crabs, and rabbits--all of which I have called family at one time or another. I've had Akitas, a German Shorthair Pointer, a Black Lab, a Lab-Coonhound, and some "Heinz 57" in my family. I have had cats (all rescues) for 23 1/2, ... years. I even had a particularly beautiful male Norwegian Forest cat, Sampson, that I rescued from a neglected household. My and Daughter's red-eared slider turtle, Shelly, is also a rescue. Our parakeet, Rudy, and guinea pig, Emma, are adopted from a store, though we did look at animal shelters first. I do not just come in, feed your pets, and leave, unless that is what you want. I like to spend time with them, talking, petting, playing with them. Head scratches and belly rubs are my specialty. I love the outdoors and taking them for walks...especially in the park! Head butts that say "play with me!" are the best! Well, that and sloppy, wet "kisses" that say "I'm glad to see you!" I am unafraid of reptiles, and some more exotic pets.
