Description: Hi there my name is Karol. I am a retired nurse now seeking a second career as a pet caretaker in or near Oakland. I have had dogs all my life, and I’ve loved every one of them: elderly dogs that needed daily medications and treatments, big dogs that need a lot of exercise, and cared for smaller dogs that need lots of closeness. I’ve learned how to care for cats, but appreciate tips on how yours -dogs or cats- normally behave. I will enforce all your rules of the house if you will please provide them. I’m very calm but lovingly firm. I have a reliable car and can transport mobile dogs if you would allow trips to the dog park or a shady path for walks. I don’t lift big dogs. I can be available on short notice, but not as a habit, and can provide flexible scheduling for clients. Description of Skills: I will take care of maintaining pet health, feeding and clean-up afterwards, facilitating exercise, and house training. I can stay overnight if needed, since I do house-sitting as well. I will need contact information for you and your pet’s veterinarian as well as how you would like me to handle problems, accidents, or emergencies.
