Pet Sitter in Grand Ledge, Michigan

I am a very COMPASSIONATE, gentle, and energetic pet sitter and/or farm sitter located in Grand Ledge, MI, who is willing to travel, who absolutely loves animals, isn't afraid to get dirty, and hopes that you will consider me for the job of taking care of your special friend(s)! You can count on me to help care for and keep a detailed eye on your pets (AKA "children") while you're at work, on vacation, or any other time when you need assistance! Most of my experience comes from pet sitting and farm sitting for co-workers, family, and friends. In addition to my pet and/or farm sitting experience, I have had my own pets, and have worked as a Kennel Aide for four years (at an animal shelter, and at veterinary clinic) with dogs, cats, and exotic animals. Therefore, I have experience with feeding animals, bathing animals, administering medication (pill/topical) if needed, monitoring sick and hospitalized animals, clipping toenails, cleaning up messes, training, special diets, bathing, walking dogs, washing pet laundry, cleaning the facility, etc. I truly believe that all animals need structured exercise and plenty of playtime (unless of course there is an age or a health issue!) For example, walks, trips to the park, or trips to to the creek in the summertime are all great ways to provide a dog with exercise and fulfillment! I used to train and look after two pit bull/blue heeler mixes that were energetic and rambunctious, and when I was done walking them, the first thing that they would do is get home and go to sleep! I find it fun to work with all dogs, especially ones with plenty of energy, because they match my energy level! The owner of those dogs could not be more thankful, since these dogs were farm dogs that loved a job to do, and he could not get them to quiet down! I believe in playing with cats for at least 15-20 minutes, twice a day, at the very LEAST. I have experience with overnight sitting, as well as experience with all kinds of animals. One of my employers told me that I was the best and the most caring and the most fun sitter that she ever had! I spent a lot of time walking and playing with her dog. I also have plenty of experience working with larger animals, especially horses. I have a certificate in Horse Management, and I have done internships and volunteer work with horses and other farm animals. I have such a passion for horses, and have used various methods to work with them, including natural horsemanship. Therefore, I have experience riding, feeding, and monitoring horses as well! I believe in keeping up with food recalls and the various foods that are unhealthy for our pets. I believe that it is our duty to take the best care of our animal children and friends, and if you hire me, I promise you that you hire someone with knowledge, honesty, integrity, love, and compassion.
