Hello, my name is Andrew. I work at a local animal shelter, caring for rescued dogs, cats, small animals, and the occasional bird and reptile. I am available for in-home pet care in and around Syracuse, New York. I am very passionate about all animals, and will be sure to provide your pets with the care that they deserve. I am an active individual, and can provide exercise that meets your pets’ needs and preferences, whether that is short walks around the neighborhood or intense hikes at a nearby park. I can also work on behavioral training, whether you have established routines or would like to begin working on certain behaviors. I am currently available in the afternoons and evenings, as well as a few weekdays. I am flexible, so let me know when your pets need care and we can work something out. Service Abilities: I will match my activities to your pet’s preferences, including outdoor exercise and safe active play depending on what they like. I primarily train through redirection and positive reinforcement, but do have experience with prong collars for dogs with more serious behavior issues. I am very patient, and take the time to earn your pet’s respect so that we can work together on developing more appropriate behavior. I am comfortable working with dogs of any size or breed, and have experience with dogs with severe confidence and aggression issues. I can also care for a variety of other animals, though my experience is more limited. Let me know what you need and I can tell you if I am comfortable/capable. I am currently at capacity for animals in my home, but am available for sitting/walking in or from your home.
