Hi, I’m Kathleen, a Longmeadow resident who is early retired. With so much free time on my hands I thought I would try a part-time job doing something I love. I’ve always loved animals, and especially dogs!🐶 I’ve had dogs from the time they were 8 weeks old to 13 years old. I took them to obedience school and learned the proper way to help guide and support them. I’ve administered medications in ears and orally. I have an understanding of the different stages with regard to their age and needs. In addition, I make certain to connect with your pet which is essential for them to feel safe, relaxed, and content when you are away. I’ve struggled with finding people to entrust with my pets, as well as being in my home, so I understand the importance of trusting someone. I’m college educated and have volunteered throughout my life in schools, my church, and served on Boards. In addition, I would be willing to take a small dog into my home if it’s a good fit. That option relieves you the concern about someone going in and out of your home. I have a 7 year old Shih Tzu who would enjoy having a playmate since my golden retriever passed away two years ago.
