Description: Nice to meet you! My name is Sabina. I am hosting dog play groups around Malden, Somerville, Arlington and Medford. I have a large fenced in yard and also take up to three dogs to local dog parks for daily adventures! I have four years of experience supervising dog play groups and love doing it! Did you know it’s good for your dog to sniff? I always allow sniffing on walks so your dogs brain gets a work out too! I am offering walking services for dogs that aren’t good candidates for playgroups. I have many years of experience walking shy and anxious dogs, as well as reactive dogs. I have experience engaging dogs with treats to prevent reactive behaviors during the walk. I am also offering dog sitting services in my home for dogs that are dog friendly! I have my own pup, a very good boy that loves all dogs. I do multiple daily walks with the dogs as well as play time in the yard and adventures during the weekend. Your dog will always be safe and treated like family! I have experience giving medications, doing nail trims, and baths as well. Description of Skills: I spent two years working at a dog daycare, boarding and vet facility in central Massachusetts. I learned so much there, supervising large dog play groups every day and cleaning and maintaining the facility. I learned to be vigilant and timely in dog care, and to always communicate openly with the owners in regards to their dog. From there I moved on to work for a local dog walking and sitting company. I did on average two playgroups a day at local dog parks and sometimes in my yard. I learned dog park etiquette, and how to safely transport dogs to and from the park. I enjoyed my time and adored every one of the pups I had the honor of hanging out with. I am offering dog playgroups, to be hosted in my yard or a local dog park, including dog pick up and drop off in my own car. I am experienced, reliable, and trustworthy. I know your dog is a part of your family, and take that responsibility very seriously when providing care. I operate on a total transparency policy, and will always be honest with you about your dogs experiences in my care. I send daily updates, including pictures, to your phone so you know exactly what adventures your pup has while you’re away. At the park I constantly watch the dog body language during playgroups and use a positive recall training to ensure safe play. In other words, I work with each dog to create a good history of coming to me for a tasty treat. Then during play, if I notice any dog exhibits uncomfortable body language, I recall the dogs. Many unsafe situations can be totally prevented with this training and through the years I have found this to be the best way to ensure safe dog play.
