I have been a Certified Veterinary Technician for over seven years and been in the animal care field for over twelve. I began pet sitting when I was living in Hawaii for one of our hospitals clients who had 4 dogs and 3 cats . Their English Setter was 14y and needed extra attention. It was rewarding to know that they were able to completely enjoy their time away and feel their "kids" we're being well taken care of.. Word of mouth travels fast on an island and before I knew it, I had almost a dozen repeat clientele!. I've taken care of everything from a blind horse to a litter of 3 day old kittens. I pride myself in having the medical knowledge and skills to be able to offer the compromised pet extended care when needed. I will be happy to follow through with your Veterinarian's treatment plan and offer services such as administering SQ fluids, administering oral medications, cleaning and medicating ears, applying eye medication and giving injections such as insulin or corticosteroids among other things. I also have a COMPLETE understanding of the importance of sticking to strict diets for those "portly" pets or those who are unfortunate enough to suffer from food allergies. I will not just stuff your loved one with treats!. Regrettably, I no longer offer overnight stays but if you are in the Beaverton area, I can do multiple visits a day when needed. I will not however keep your dog confined to a crate all day. I am a firm believer of crate training but your pet will probably be feeling a little stress in your absence and we definetly don't want to add to it. I am flexible, dependable and responsible . I would love to give you the opportunity to concentrate on your matters at hand and know that your precious pet will be well taken care of.
