Personal Profile: Having grown up with pets throughout my childhood, I have developed an incredible love for them. It started when I was just six years old and my dad brought home a wolf-dog who’d been abandoned because her original caretaker wasn’t prepared for the giant ball of energy that had grown from their puppy. We trained her together, and Sarah became my best friend. My love for dogs continued to grow (if that’s possible) when I started working with retired Iditarod dogs in Alaska while attending university. With working as an Americorps through Habitat for Humanity, I do not have the resources to care for a dog of my own. As a compromise, I enjoy taking care of others' pets!
