As I explained in my previous message, my husband and I bred dogs for 14 years. We accomplished 14 homebred AKC champions. In the litters we had a lot of puppies who did not meet the criteria to be shown in an AKC dog show, however there just the same as precious to us as any of show quality. It was almost impossible to get a dog from us, because we were so careful as to whom we allowed to have one of our homebred puppies. No garage housing and homes who truly wanted a companion, because of their size, also exercise would be part of their routine as they grew older. i made the buyer sign a contract that if under any circumstance they (they) did not want the dog anymore we were to be notified first and given the opportunity to take their dog back home with us. None of our dogs would ever be 'rescue' dogs, we were responsible of the animal for the life of the animal. I am proud to say that we, I, were RESPONSIBLE BREEDERS. i no llonger breed dogs, but I am a happy pet owner, who I adore, and always have had dogs in my life.
