Hey Everybody:). My name Is Shawntae and I loveee all kinds of animals that coexist on this very planet with us. I'd like to share my personal story with all, so all can get to know me and why this lifestyle chose me. On February 15,2017 my life changed. My bestfriend of 10 yrs, Gemini--Chocolate Cockerspaniel-- was taken to the vet because he was experiencing seizures every other hour, he would sometimes show a minor aggression as if he didn't recognize us or his home, he would walk around in circles, throw up after eating, and had irregular frequent accidents in the house, (which usually only happened when strangers were around or when he just felt like being a jerk lol). During his visit the Vet told us he had a large mass between his stomach and spleen that grew over time and was the cause of his unusual behavior. The cost of his surgery was over 10,000, which my family could not afford, the Vet also told us he it wasn't a sure feeling that he would survive during the surgery. Th most hardest decision I've ever had to accept was euthanizing my dog, my bestfriend, the soul I've grown to love as family. :( The reason I say my life changed was because after we recieved his ashes, I valed to do something with my life honoring my dog, I promised to live to help others and their Fur-Besties until My Time is up. I was a highschool dropout since 2015 who only cared about a paycheck, but on February 15,2017 I finally woke up, I turned my life around, and 3 months later I received my GED. I am currently looking into becoming a Veterinarian Technician and then a Wildlife Rehabilitator. I've decided to join this community because I realized life isn't about only living for yourself, it's about growing, loving our planet and Every species that inhabits it. I would very much enjoy taking care of your fur-besties while also gaining important, future fueled experiences. The money is just a plus and will be paying for my tuition.
