My name is Shelby and I love all animals. Growing up on a farm, I have much experience caring for dogs, cats, and horses. I've treated many wounds: wrapping broken tails, disinfecting surface wounds, walking colicky horses, applying balm, and cleaning eyes, sheaths, and noses. Experience with Cats: Previous cat owner. I've watched many wonderful kitties over the years. I show up on time, make sure they are fed, brushed, watered, cuddled, and have a clean litter box. Experience with Dogs: Current dog owner. My dog-sitting experience is extensive. I love all breeds, have sat multiple dogs at one residence, and use only the kindest methods. I've had many owners return home pleased with the improved manners of their dogs: potty-training, sitting, not jumping up, etc. I am a runner and am happy to take your dog on exercise jaunts with me, and am also happy to walk at a slow pace for elderly/injured/overweight dogs as well. The dogs I sit always enjoy play time with me as well. Experience with Horses: Previous horse owner. I've been riding since before I could sit! I'm a D3 member of Pony Club and 4-H member. I've been a working student for two years at an eventing/dressage barn. I managed a stable for two summers which included: exercise riding, grooming, mucking out, and all morning feedings for twenty horses. Animals are my passion. As a dog owner, I understand that leaving a pet in the care of a stranger is daunting. I love to text pictures of the animals to their 'parents' so that you can see how happy and healthy your pet is while you are away. I am responsible, punctual, and compassionate to all pets in my care.
