Hi, my name is Kelly and I am a 27 year old professional pet care provider. I have worked with animals for over 10 years. I started off working at a small family owned pet store in MD when I was 17 years old. From there I transitioned very quickly into pet sitting and dog working. I worked for two seperate professional pet care companies in the dc-md-va area. I then started to work at a very large and social dog daycare in DC where I gained a ton of experience in dog body language, pack mentality, and how to care for a large pack of dogs in a social environment. Eventually, I began to run a small business from home which included dog daycare, boarding, and dog walking. From my experience working at the pet store and with various high-end dog foods I was also able to provide my clients with nutritional information and recommendations. I also worked along with a professional dog trainer who was able to teach me the skills to do behavioral training as well as basic obedience. Shortly there after I started a job in sales and ended up moving to the Pittsburgh area about a year a half ago. I worked in sales for a few months while here and very quickly decided I needed to go back to working with my passion which is animals. About 9 months ago I got a job as a grooming assistant in Plum, PA. At that facility I was able to gain expertise in nail cutting, ear cleaning and hair pulling, as well as bathing and other basic grooming needs. I am not a licensed groomer but am very happy to provide basic grooming needs. After a few months, I decided I wanted to go back to a social environment with dogs and once again began working at a very large dog daycare in McMurray. That is where I am currently working and I love it. I am now looking to bring in some additional income as my family is very unexpectedly growing and of course I want to make that money while doing what I love. Not only do I want to bring joy to the animals I care for but I also want to give a peace of mind to the owners that their furry children are in good hands. I have experience with much more then just dogs. I love reptiles, small animal and fish as well. I also have some experience working with farm animals. The only animal I will not care for are spiders or tarantulas haha. Otherer then that I am your girl! My main experience in dogs is with large and powerful breeds. I have a huge affinity for hounds as well especially coonies.
