Animals deserve all the love in the world and I am ready to give them my undivided love and attention. I spent all four years of high school in a veterinary assisting program and graduated as a certified veterinary assistant. I gained knowledge in symptoms of common illnesses, foods/things toxic to animals, I know dog and cat behavior as well as body language. I worked in a veterinarian and walked, bathed, fed the dogs, and kept their area clean. I assisted the doctor by holding dogs in their appropriate position for examination and blood withdrawal. In class and at work I learned to administer oral medication, intradermal (subcutaneous) injections, and intramuscular although I prefer not to perform intramuscular without proper supervision and assistance because it can be quite painful.
