Pet Sitter in Denver, Colorado

Alina Naismith is an aspiring Occupational Therapist or Nurse, trained volunteer/foster for Operation Kindness, and genuine dog lover. Proud parent to a lovely Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler girl, and past summer sitter for numerous (10 ) dogs in the Sarasota area, ranging from a lil' Golden Retriever pup to elderly Corgis. I am comfortable and experienced with dogs of all energy levels, personalities, and unique needs. I will gladly run in the yard with your active pooch, or lay by the TV with your cute couch potato. In addition, I am extremely flexible in scheduling and have reliable transportation. I have been highly involved with volunteering in various animal shelters since I was just seven years old with my mom. Last year as a Freshman, I co-founded a student organization (DU Paw Society) at the University of Denver whose mission is to spread compassion for animals and raise money for adoptable dogs in local humane societies. Also, this year I aided in creating an app prototype called PawPrint, which strives to reduce the amount of dogs in local Denver shelters, thus attempting to decrease the high amount of euthanizations. Ultimately, I believe every single dog and cat deserves a happy and healthy life. There are very few breeds I am uncomforable with. It would be valuable for me to have knowledge of any medical conditions, unusual mannerisms, or anxieties (separation, with other dogs, with people). But I would also want to know what your dog enjoys in life - maybe a special toy, treats, swimming, or a good belly scratch, so I could give him/her the best experience possible. Beautiful local parks are generally one of my favorite places to be on a sunny day, and I currently walk over 7,000 steps per day at college so I would consider myself an active individual! I love to play with dogs by playing a good game of fetch or tug-of-war, or just running around playing chase. In addition, I have taught doggos some fun tricks in the past - so your pup may have learned how to shake or turn around when you return from vacation, work, or otherwise! I am currently 20 years old, a Junior at the University of Denver majoring in Psychology and minoring in Biology, Wellness, and Entrepreneurship.
