Thank you for taking a moment to allow me to introduce myself. I am a nurturer by nature. When my son was in elementary school, I served on the PTO. As he grew older and needed me less, I turned my focus to rescuing animals and re homing them. I have a desire to help those who can't help themselves or who need help to do day to day tasks. Children, elderly and animals tend to fall into that category, and that is where my passion lies. Before I had my son, and back when I lived in Illinois, I worked as a Home Healthcare Tech. I loved that type of work because I found it very rewarding and I often say that I learned so much from my patients - and got from them so much more than I gave. It was often very sad work as well, because by nature, these are people who are at the end of their lives. I learned to deal with stressful situations and formed a sense of empathy that I truly believe has helped make me the person I am today. I have come to that time in life where my son is in college and I am free to really explore the things I enjoy the most. Interacting with animals is where I find my peace. I believe animals have no ill will towards anyone and that makes them such a joy to be around. Over the years I have pet sit on many occasions for friends and family members and have assisted a friend on her pet sitting jobs. I am flexible with my time, able to work weekends, all times of day, including evenings or overnight.
