Pet Sitter in Richmond, Texas

Hey there, my names Kayla, and I would love to treat your animals as if they were my own while you have to be away from your beloved family members. I have two dogs of my own, a border collie/lab mix and a leonberger (which is a Saint Bernard, Newfoundland, and Great Pyrenees mix). I'm currently a part time employee at the dog and cat boarding facility, Rover Oaks and have been for almost six months now. Prior to Rover Oaks, I was a Kennel Tech at Pecan Grove. I'm working on becoming certified through the Outstanding Pet Care Learning Center classes. Outside of job experience, I also have a lot of volunteer experience with dogs. I was a Team Leader and highly active volunteer at the dog rescue, K-9 Angels. Which was also the organization that I fostered dogs from during the weekend, my leonberger being one of them. I'm a happy case of being a "foster fail." I've also watched a maximum of ten dogs at once before for a week in my own home; six six-week year old puppies, their mother and father, and my own two dogs. As for cats, though my list of experience is shorter for them, I have taken on cat sitting jobs before and work with them as well at work. I also don't mind taking care of other pets as long as you give me instructions on how to take proper care of them. I have some experience with bunnies. I'm open to discussion for pet sitting at my house. Though my Leonberger and border collie/lab mix get along with other dogs, they can be a bit home territorial as well as protective over our family. So we'd have to trial run it first. Other animals such as rabbits, snakes, birds, hamsters, etc, would be fine. If you want your dog to be bathed, I generally use oatmeal dog shampoo unless you have your own supplies.
