I am a sophomore at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities majoring in Animal Science looking for more experience with animals to add to the years of experience I already have. In addition to having basic knowledge about the care of animals through owning several dogs and cats throughout my life, I have had several classes during my first year of college about animal care, nutrition, and basic first aid. I also have a talent for training dogs, whether it be basic commands like "sit" or "down" or advanced commands such as "hide". I have also had successes with housebreaking two puppies and teaching several boisterous shelter dogs to walk nicely on a leash. I show dogs in AKC conformation shows as well, so I have extensive knowledge about basic dog grooming and grooming Brittanys for the show ring. A lot of the techniques used for Brittanys can be applied to other breeds (even Yorkies) to some extent, so grooming can be done on a case by case basis.
