Duties included being responsible for obedience training puppies up to the age of four months along with all breeding dogs. Assisted the dog care specialists with the care of the dogs when needed including duties such as feeding, medication, bathing and nail trimmings and cleaning the kennels. Worked puppies through confidence building exercises, such as teeter totters and stairs, and desensitization to build strong and confident dogs. Helped other trainers with group classes and medical service dog pairings when staff was low or assistance was needed. Was also responsible for educating volunteers how to correctly play with puppies and help puppy play groups. Other duties including breeding females during the appropriate heat cycles and assisting in coordinating which stud dog she should be bred to, helping females during birth as a midwife and during whelping, assisting in the care of new pups and performing neurotherapy on young pups. Have provided pet care for the last four years outside of work and gained tremendous experience at taking care and handling different temperaments of dogs and other animals. Certificated as a Dog trainer by Animal Behavior College and have also taken classes in Pet Nutrition, Dog Sitting and Walking and Cat Training and Care. I also have experience assisting in farm animals such as sheep and chicken along with reptiles and birds. I am available and capable for the following tasks.
