I have just finished up my contract with the Military, I was an Aerospace medical technician for 6 years in the Air Force. I am searching for a change in pace and environment and that is why I am switching from patient care to animal care. I have gotten the honor to help with the K-9 unit over the years and I fell in love with taking care of, and spending time with the dogs. I am ecstatic for for this great change, and extremely motivated to expand my knowledge and skills. I have extensive prior history in the role of both animal training and animal care in the Canine unit at Nellis, AFB, NV. I had a the crucial role in upholding an upbeat and good natured environment for all of the dogs that were there. My responsibility included advocating for all of dogs if I saw something unfit, unsafe, or inadequate for their over all health. Sensing the demeanor and temperament of the animals is critical because just like us, putting a dog in a situation that they feel unsafe or threatened can be dangerous. That is why safeguarding their environment was absolutely necessary, I committed to giving all of my power and effort in ensuring that they were happy and being treated with the upmost admiration and appreciation. That gave me skills to work flawlessly with almost any dog in any mood. Like humans; they have their bad days and good days as well, and it is important to be aware of that before caring for a dog that you aren’t familiar with. The K-9 units conducted different missions everyday, and my role was to oversee the dog handlers and ensure that they were maintaining a healthy and positive environment for the animals. I would take all of my prior experience and make sure that your dog is treated in the same kind of manner. I have two pets of my own who have been raised together. They are both three and a half. I have a blue Merle miniature Australian Shepherd and a calico cat whom I love very much. I would derive great pleasure from the opportunity to look after and tend to your pet(s).
