Hi there! My name is Kyra, I'm a part-time student at Laney Community College and proud guinea pig mom* hoping to provide others in the East Bay with basic pet care services. I grew up in a family with a deep love and sense of compassion towards animals and, as a result, have had extensive experience caring for many a furry (and not-so-furry) friend, including but not limited to: dogs of various breeds and sizes, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, fish, Russian tortoises, ducks, and rats. I find the work and bonding experiences to be very rewarding, and look forward to the opportunity to help you and your pet(s) out! Unfortunately, I don't have a car of my own just now, but I'm well versed at getting around on public transportation and utilizing ride sharing services. I'm more than happy to keep you updated on your pet(s) via text, calls, hand-written notes, and/or e-mail -- whatever you prefer! I'm responsible, energetic, patient, and always looking to learn more about animal behavior and how to care for various species. (* In case you're wondering, my guinea pigs are Waffle, a six year old English pig, and Moo, a 1 1/2 year old, rambunctious Abyssinian. It's a lively household with these two, and they're very much inseparable. :) )
