Hello! My name is Alexandria I am 19 years old and I'm a recent graduate of Granite City High School and avid animal lover. I have owned or watched after large and small animals of differnt species. Mostly cats and dogs, but I consider myself specialized in small animals(gerbils, hamsters, etc.) I adore all pets though including insects and some arachnids so long as I don't have to handle the arachnids. I have petsitted before, I watched my cousin's 4 dogs and 3 cats for two weeks while he and his family were away for vacation. If you would like I could give you his number so you can ask how it went. Don't be alarmed if it sounds like you are talking to a robot, he had a rare form of throat cancer and had to have his voice box removed. I myself have owned 2 cats, 1 dogs, 12 hamsters, 3 small wood spiders, fish, and a pair of gerbils. I thoroughly researched them before or after I owned them. Most animals seem to like me, I don't entirely know why but hey why question good things. I am on the smaller side so it isn't hard for a larger dog to pull the leash out of my hand or worse. That being said, even if I adore giant dogs, I won't be able to walk strong or large dogs that pull. While you might be able to handle them to them I am a stranger and they are less likely to listen to me. But if your dog is very good on the leash then I will have no problem walking your malamute or mastiff. Fallowing that if your dog is large and is very excitable and jumps it is unlikely I could watch them for you, My pain tolerance is near non existent and they might knock me over on accident trying to lick my face as some dogs adorably do. Once again if the dog knows not to jump up then by all means I will absolutely enjoy keeping them company for you. As for cats, so long as they aren't prone to attacking you out of know where I don't mind what kind, size, or shape they are. Any small pet is free range as long as they don't when I feed them.
