Pet Sitter in Vancouver, British Columbia

Hello my name is Sasha. I am lucky to have had lots of great experiences working as a pet/house sitter. I have a mini-schnauzer named Schnuggles who's truly my fur-baby. She generally loves other dogs and cats. I feel confident reading her body language and cues, as well as those of other animals. I also grew up with small dogs (a Bichon Frise named Candy and a Cairn Terrier named Toto)! Schnuggles and I attended 3 rounds of puppy classes together, which has helped me feel confident training puppies. We also went to two private dog trainers to work on specific circumstances like leash-walking, meet-and-greets, seperation anxiety etc. I have worked as a house/pet-sitter in Roberts Creek on the Sunshine Coast. I took care of Amy, a lab-staffy cross; and Oscar, the mini-schnauzer who made me fall in love with the breed! I feel confident intuiting how much exercise versus rest a dog might need depending on their breed & size, and am very open to following direction and learning from the owners' experience with their pet. I have experience administering medication to dogs (ear/eye drops, tick/flea medication, pills and liquids). I also was relief-manager for a Bed & Breakfast in Roberts Creek while the owner went away on Winter Vacation. My responsibilities included booking guests using the online system and over the phone, taking payments, hiring and managing volunteer staff, and house-keeping. When I'm not spending time with my pup Schnuggles, I'm teaching Yoga and working as Guest Experience at a well-known Yoga Studio in Vancouver. I'm excited to meet more animals and contribute to their happy, healthy, fulfilled lives!
