I am a freshman at Mary Baldwin University, working on getting my PhD and studying courses in animal and health sciences. I am currently 18 years of age, and just moved from where I was raised in Newark, New Jersey, all the way up to Virginia, my home state. Fun fact: I graduated from Arts High School, a performing arts school in Newark, the same high school Michael B. Jordan and Tisha Campbell graduated from (I was a dance/vocal major, they were both drama/TV majors). I someday wish to become a successful veterinarian. As far as pets, I've always had pets in my home, from the day I learned how to walk up until my last year of high school. Altogether, I've owned and taken care of a total of 17 cats, a hamster, and a ferret. I've always wished for a dog, but for me to always have had a busy lifestyle, it wouldn't be fair for me to own one and never be home to care for it. Therefore, I stuck to cats, since they're for the most part self-sufficient. I'm a very friendly person and have a lot of patience for animals. Currently, I am training to be a swimming instructor for children taking lessons at the YMCA in Staunton, VA, so I'm great with kids too. I also like to cook (I'm still very much an amateur) and make crafts in my spare time. I like handy projects where I have to put things together, like dressers and bed frames, even those huge 3-story dollhouses that little girls obsess over. I'm very skilled with tools as well as paintbrushes. I love to draw and paint, although I'm pretty sure I'm more of a Monét than a Da Vinci. Well, I'm pretty sure I'm just rambling on at this point.
