Pet Sitter in St. George, Utah

I am a pre-vet biology major at DSU and hoping to find a new job related to my field. I find that I'm the happiest when helping animals, so by being a pet sitter I am able to help myself and those in need of animal help. I have a flexible schedule and have classes monday-friday for about 3 hours each day, but am willing to work any time I'm not in class. I have professional care experience in working for a shelter (St. Gabriel's Feline Foundation) in which I worked alone and was in charge of pet care and ensuring those adopting the animals were safe and getting an animal that was right for them. Some of my responsibilities were to clean cages and litter boxes, socialize the animals, provide clean food and water, groom cats daily, and ensure that they were healthy and happy, and if they weren't I would let my supervisor know the exact details so she could get them the care they needed. Some animals also needed oral medicines that I would have to make sure they got, so I have no problem with any ill/disabled animals. I also have 3 cats of my own, 2 of which are rescues. When I first got them they were very shy and liked to hide all day, so I understand how certain animals may need more attention and dedication to gain their trust. I am also a proud owner of 2 rescued dogs, both of which have their own lists of fears and likes. I enjoy walking and bathing dogs and have previous experience in training them as well. I feel that dogs require a lot of positive energy and need a person who is able to keep up with their energy output to keep them healthy.
