Pet Sitter in Ault, Colorado

Greetings, My name is Jan and my greatest passions in life are my grandkids and my animals. Every summer we have a new litter of kittens born under our deck or in our shed. I know the saying goes, "never feed a stray because they'll never go away." But, I am incapable of watching any animal suffer. So instead, I have single handedly brought 3 females and 3 males and an entire litter to the Fort Collins spay and neuter clinic. They have a monthly free spay/neuter day, and as far as I know they are a no shelter. These cats were all made available for adoption because I slowly and consistently gained their trust. It has not been easy, but my daughter and I have helped to clear our neighborhood to prevent future ferral cats from mating. We have 4 cats in our home, and if I could keep them all I would. Also, after my sons death, I inherited his dog Lucy. The sweetest most loving beagle, she was such a blessing. I then had a friend who was moving who left a male beagle behind. After paying $900 at a pet store for him, he just left the pup behind in an empty house. So, we brought him home. We had him neutered and somehow he still got our female pregnant. Of course we had to keep the runt. So we had mom, dad, and baby beagle. They sure could sing pretty together. Others would call it annoying howling, but it was sweet music to us. Just last summer my baby beagle "Prima" died at 9 years old. Ive been pretty lost without her! Id LOVE to have the opportunity to help in any capacity. I also have experience treating dogs or cats with medical issues, I have done an IV for my male beagle and gave insulin to my Lucy. In all, I think it would help my "empty nest syndrome" to help a pet parent, which in turn would help me.
