I'm Mel, a pet sitter in Merced, California. I love animals of all kinds: cats, dogs, birds, fish, and lizards/reptiles. Though the bulk of my experience lies with those animals, I've loved all the creatures I've met, furry, scaly, or feathered! I offer dog walking services, overnight care, and pet sitting. My rates are very reasonable, starting at just $16.00 an hour. Having grown up with cats at home, I have a deep appreciation for their independence and self-reliance, not discounting the touch of playfulness and character every individual can have. I've always volunteered to take care of friends' dogs, be they a feisty little Chihuahua, an affectionate Aussie, a working Border Collie, a tough German Shepherd, or a misunderstood Pitty. I have owned and cared for many little creatures ranging from mice to turtles, fish, and snakes. I understand the importance of providing quality care and giving your pet the best possible experience during their stay with me. In fact, I am a veterinary technician-in-training (still in school) and am Fear Free certified. I always go above and beyond to ensure your pet's comfort, safety, and (ideally) fun!
