I recently retired and moved to the Lafayette area from Mississippi with my 2 teenage children after working 26 years as a teacher and counselor in the field of education. I have always been an advocate for children and animals of all kinds and worked as a volunteer at our local rescue and animal shelter. I fostered many of the animals that came through these facilities. As a strong advocate of "no-" shelters and rescues, I personally adopted many homeless animals that were in danger of being euthanized. I was also an active, involved member of our local Humane Society in Mississippi. My schedule is very flexible and open. I am trustworthy, mature, dependable and can provide personal references. As a pet owner myself, I know and understand the worry and anxiety that comes with leaving your pet in someone else's care. I can and will alleviate that stress for you and will show your "fur baby" the unconditional love, compassion, and care that I give my own.
