Pet Sitter in Surrey, British Columbia

Hi there my name is Elisha. I grew up around animals and love to work with them! My Boston Terrier recently passed away from cancer and I'm looking for the opportunity to care for someone else's dog or cat in my home, could be short- or long-term. While you're away, I will care for and love your pet like they're my own! This will include lots of exercise and walks, play time, snuggles, and tons of love!! Treats and dog park only if permitted. I live in a quiet neighbourhood in Sullivan (Surrey), with lots of quiet streets, trails, and parks nearby. I also have a small, fenced backyard. I'm very active and love going for walks and hikes, but it's more fun with a furry friend! I don't have any pets of my own, or any children. I will only take one or two pets at a time (only from one person). I am a Behaviour Consultant, a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA), so I do work from home much of the time - I only see clients out of the house about 6-8 hours per week (I work part-time). Although I don't work with dogs officially (I work with children with developmental delays), I do have experience teaching new skills and decreasing / eliminating unwanted or maladaptive behaviours using positive reinforcement strategies based in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). I have trained dogs, as well, so if you're experiencing some minor problem behaviours, I might be able to help with that while they're with me. I have a car and can pick-up/drop off your pet, if needed. My rates are reasonable (and flexible), we can discuss it when we meet or talk on the phone. I hope we have the chance to chat soon!
