I have cared for cats (and dogs); fed/changed litter/walked/tossed balls to/formed intense bonds with through extensively petting. =) I would enjoy to no end the relief they provide from my other stresses (in between jobs in my career) given how engaging they can be. I also believe strongly in treating them ethically and would not ever do anything I sense would be exploiting them--I CARE about them just as they feel confident around me.
