House-sitting within a 125 miles of Bulverde Texas I developed my love of animals over forty years ago, As soon as I was old enough to walk my father a large and small animal veterinarian in western Kansas was taking me on calls, teaching me how to care for livestock from birth to the sales barn., having me eork in his vet clinic and with his mobile vet service. I grew up watching him do surgeries, helping clean kennels, and feed/watering. That is where I learned my compassionate, nurturing care of all creatures great and small. He is now retired. And for past 20 years I have been pet-caring on my own in many different facets. I have been everything from a state licensed foster home for dogs and cats while we were stationed in Kansas, fostering cats and dogs with a specialization in medical, behavioral and special need (Blind, trauma and deaf). I Volunteer in caring for community cats. And actively doing TNR to humanely curb overpopulation of community cats. I also have been raising poultry for meat and eggs and as pets for the past ten years. I am Red Rover emergency responder and I am also an on call volunteer for wildlife. I also have experience with many other animals from goats, sheeps, donkeys, turkeys, chickens, ducks, hedgehogs, Guinea pigs, horses planted aquariums, lizards, snakes, along with cats, and dogs. I currently am at home at full-time. We are a retired military family. And we are kept busy caring for our small hobby farm. We know no one can replace YOU as your pet’s stable and steady companion, but we look at providing a personalized, meticulous, loving substitution to you. My main concern is the safety and long-term well being, along with trying to maintain the same schedule your pet. I want you and your furry kid to feel safe, comfortable and loved while you are away. Information on Boarding For animals that are boarding . We have 4 acres of land. One acre of the property is securely fenced. We are in the process of putting up double-gates to add addition levels of security, animals are NEVER left unsupervised in the yard. We walk your dog on leash to the fenced area. We currently have three senior dogs who are well-manner, sweet and welcoming dogs. Except for the chihuahua who just tolerates everybody. Along with Chickens and ducks. And turkeys depending on the season. And a varying number of indoor cats. We are near Guadalupe State Park. And can take your dog on hikes on leash while your dog is boarding and if the weather is under 84 and your dog enjoys longer bouts of exercise. We also have a nice comfy sectional couch that I put heated sleeping pads down in the winter for smaller dogs to spend their days sleeping and cuddling. Otherwise we provide regular walks on leash around the property. And supervised fenced time on a 1 acre fenced area of the property for a few hours daily. We are also insured and bonded has a pet care business company. When caring for your pet I am meticulous about the details, honest in my communication, I will discuss and maintain consist communication and flexible with pet parents throughout the time I spend caring for animals or home I have experience with dogs, cats, goats, sheep, hedgehogs, poultry, chickens, ducks, turkeys, parrots, horses, pocket pets, lizards, tortoises, freshwater aquariums, and planted aquariums.
