I am open and accepting clients, traditional and not-so-traditional pets! A little about me. I am a 30-year-old married Floridian and the mother of a 19-year-old stepson and a three-year-old daughter. I am currently a security officer with Allied Universal Security Services and work 4 days a week in Lutz, Florida, although I am looking for a full-time pet care career. I have been around all sorts of animals since I was born and been taking care of animals since I was a young child. I grew up on a farm with dogs, cats, fish, horses, pigs, cows, sheep, rabbits, goats, turtles and even an iguana, hedgehog, few squirrels, family of raccoons, wolves and wolf-hybrid. Along with all the farm animals, my parents started a state-certified hatchery that I was very actively involved in which included chickens, ducks, geese, peacocks, quail, and pheasants ( including many exotic and rare types of these fowl). We also had a large bird aviary with a variety of small and large parrots. Also had a pair of Rheas running around the farm… Since becoming an adult, I have owned several dogs including pitbull mixes and several small rescue terrier mixes, a bearded dragon, ferrets, hermit crabs, and within my family, we currently have four cats and a small dog. I have volunteered at my local Humane Society to cuddle their cats to help calm them and make them adoptable, and regularly visit my aunt and uncles farm to keep up with the latest farm animal information. I am an animal lover who provides exceptional care. I strive at putting pets at ease and relieving anxiety while they are away from their normal environments. I have 20 years of experience handling many different animals from traditional, to exotics, to unconventional pets (See Above). I am reliable, patient and trustworthy. I prioritized animal safety and comfort at all times. I am an experienced dog handler, with specialties in pit-bulls and other ‘bully’ breeds, and can restrain overly excitable and/or physically dominate dogs.
