To me, pet care is not only a job, but a blessing! What began as only fostering and adopting animals of my own has turned into providing safe, dependable care for many of my community's pets over the last few years. My biggest points of pride as a pet caretaker are 1) patience that is not all that easily exhausted, as I am very willing (and happy!) to spend extra time with animals who are shy, anxious, and/or have trauma history, 2) my strong belief in positive reinforcement, 3) my dedication to play (i.e., if your dog wants to roll around in the grass, I am not afraid of rolling around in the grass), and 4) keeping my service independent, and therefore my prices affordable. I offer everything from walks to drop-ins and in-home overnights. Keep your pet comfortable and your service personal - forget the kennel! I have my own vehicle and don't mind the travel. Description of Skills: I have experience with caring for dogs of all sizes, temperaments, energy levels, and ages. I can provide anything from hiking for the energetic to basic training for puppies (sit, stay, down, and even shaping down nippiness). I can also provide other essentials, such as light grooming (e.g, nails, bathing, and shedding), and/or applying topical/oral medications.
