Hi there, I'm Amanda! I'm looking at starting an online Veterinary Technician program and am wanting to petsit professionally while I do so. I have several years of experience caring for puppies, kittens, dogs, cats, aquariums, and rodents, and am comfortable caring for almost all animals. I am a huge animal advocate and believe that pets are family, which means I do not take lightly the care of your animals. They will receive the highest quality of love and care, just as I would expect someone to treat my own furbabies. Experience and qualifications: I was a dog bather at Petsmart, I can do basic baths, nail trims/filing, brush outs, and ear cleaning should your pet require one. I have administered many different medications and am comfortable doing so. I have raised most of my pets from tiny babies, so I am competent with the needs and special care that babies require. I have been involved in animal rescue for two years and am familiar with the common ailments, illnesses, and diseases that dogs and cats can have, as well as the early signs and symptoms of potential health problems. I am a supporter of Force Free and Positive Reinforcement Only training, which means I will never use verbal or physical reprimands with your pet. I am very well educated on dog and cat physical behavior and know the telltale signs of anxiety, fear, and discomfort. I will never make your pet uncomfortable by not listening to what they are trying to tell me through their body language. I am not breed biased in the slightest and am comfortable with all breeds, including pitbulls, bull breed mixes, and other unnecessarily deemed "dangerous" breeds.
