Since childhood, I've always had pets. From mice to guinea pigs to ferrets to dogs to cats, I've had a big mix of different animals to care for. Currently, I have three dogs that I regularly see, care for, and love. (And a ferret!) My experience translates well to pet sitting because I'm prepared to handle anything thrown at me. Just a side note: my dogs and ferret are not always here and can be easily watched by family members, so if your dog does not get along with other dogs just let me know! I have previously worked in a pet food store, so I know my way around dog food and unfamiliar breeds. During my time at the pet store, I rescued two cats, a kitten and his mom, and cared for them at the store. Additionally, I helped care for other rescue animals at the pet store including rabbits and dogs. Also because I worked at a pet store, I have all the best yummy treats for good dogs. If you're worried about any issues your dog may have, I have plenty of experience dealing with doggie issues. One of my dogs has severe separation anxiety, while another has issues with people she doesn't know, and another has to take pills daily for her thyroid and itchy skin. Essentially, I have experience dealing with dogs that aren't happy-go-lucky all the time. If boarding at my apartment, you'll know your dog is being taken care of well. I live with my boyfriend and we'll both provide care for your animal between long walks and frequent playtime. In my apartment complex, there is a dog park, so if your dog likes other dogs we'll take them over there to have some fun! Additionally, we have no boundaries at my apartment and let animals roam free, so you don't have to worry about your dog being locked up in a small room. Whether your dog is 5 pounds or 70 pounds, I can handle your pet AND I'll make sure we both have an amazing time while you're gone.
