Pet Sitter in Orcutt, California

Hello my name is Kimberly, I am an established transplant living in Orcutt - relocating from Los Gatos/ Saratoga / Bay Area about 15 years ago (the reason for the 408 area code!) I am searching for a pet sitter / basic obedience training / dog walking job in Lompoc, Santa Maria, Orcutt, Grover, Pismo, SLO, Shell Beach - Avila Beach etc. I'm experienced in potty training, crate training, facilitating safe & proper dog play. Leash manners are ESSENTIAL! I also am proficient in basic obedience training - 2019, I will be enrolling in a fulltime dog training program located on the east coast. Side note: *my personal Border Collie / German Shepherd is a Certified Therapy Dog with the local therapy dog program: L.O.A.L* [this stands for Love On A Leash] He also has his certification as a Canine Good Citizen, I trained him on my own! I am so excited to be furthering my dog training education to fulfill my dream to become a full time obedience trainer, including training human and dog aggressive dogs / and dogs who have territorial issues / and who resource guard / and then theres those dogs who are prey driven towards smaller animals - small dogs, cats, squirrels, birds, etc. After allll off that training is complete - my DREAM is to start a program working with Veterans with P.T.S.D, Traumatic Brain Injuries working with Wounded Warriors. My ultimate goal is to empower our forgotten and neglected soldiers to train THEM to be able to train their OWN service dogs - so that every can regain independence a sense of comfort and a sense of purpose without being judged. I'm currently available to work with several families, as my schedule is open. I am a photographer and homemaker. I do not have children, I do NOT SMOKE or DRINK. My schedule is flexible for emergencies & overnights, weekends, most holidays, & day shifts, etc. I'd be honored to speak with you and your entire family to see if we could be a great match for each other - Services And Dog Training: I am comfortable doing dog feeding, ed green special dietary needs (as my dogs dat a special diet also) - Exercise is imperative (if you so choose your pet to be active, walking, frisbee, ball, tug of war! I will be glad to do this for you) I am fully comfortable giving medication. EVEN GIVING PILLS TO CATS! I can give Sub-cutanious fluids, and insulin injections (3 cats during my life were diabetic..) If interested in training: Basic obedience training is critical for your dog to build trust and respect (without either of those things - you'll have havoc and chaos and frustration in your home - basic obedience facilitates a healthy relationship (IF IT IS DONE RIGHT WITH CONSISTENCY) this should be done with kindness, repetition, and again, consistency. We can discuss this in further detail. I promise, It's easier than it sounds! My transportation: I have a large (FULLY INSURED) YUKON SUV, so transporting large dogs or multiple dogs is never an issue - I REPEAT, AM A NON-SMOKER. In conclusion: I have over 24 years of experience in caring for animals whether in a vet hospital setting, dog kennels. I've worked at a board and train facility for police / & home protection dogs. (Big dogs don't frighten me) I have had countless pet sitter clientele over the years, and countless house sitting stints too! I've had my own pets ever since I was a child, everything from dogs, cats, a horse, rabbits, snakes, ferrets, fish, birds, mice, hamsters, gerbils... I've LOVED them ALL! First Aid / CPR: I'm currently registered for an 8 hour course 10/20/20... in Ventura through the company "PetTech....." the ONLY company around who is nationally recognized to provide this type of training - I will be *re-certified* in Pet First Aid & CPR.
