My first chore at home was walking our dog, and I’ve continued being a casual dog walker and pet caretaker for most of my life. I’ve worked professionally as a dog walker & cat sitter; think of me as the first friend you go to when you need a pet sit. I’ve heard that I have a grounding presence & calming effect on animals - I expect that this comes from my patience and lack of expectations. My goal in providing pet care is to let the animal show me how to care for them, while steering us towards the outcomes you’ve set as the guardian. I’m skilled at noticing animal behavioral language. I use this to build a relationship through mutual respect of boundaries and care requests. I’ve been pet first aid certified, with training in safety guidelines for dog and cat care. I live with multiple cats and a dog (Let me know if your babies are scent sensitive! I’ve never had an issue with this, and the dog at home loves sniffing the new friends I make.)
