I have experienced first hand how animals feed your heart with a love unlike any other. My first dog Rocky- a boxer, which is our family's favorite breed, stole my heart for the first time. Rocky had behavior issues with fearful aggression toward other dogs. We found a great behaviorist to help Rocky and I, where I learned how to help him through training exercises that I still use today. Rocky's life, that ended too soon, ended up introducing me to the world of rescue. I eventually began working at the local human society where I was trained as a veterinary technician and taught how to work with the dogs with behavior issues. Since then, I have rescued two dogs of my own with dog aggression issues. I have received further training assistance with them where I learned how to interact with dogs who are highly dominant and aggressive. Due to my experience, I feel confident handling all sizes of dogs with any type of temperament. I have been trained on how to handle cats as well, and I have two kitties of my own.
