Hi! My name is Jasmine Altamirano and I am 17 years old. I am a senior attending Patterson High School. Since this is my senior year I am saving up to attend college away from home. I have been in the AVID program all four years of high school and this year I became a member of the ambassador program where we work with incoming freshmen high schoolers and become not only a friend but a mentor for these students to lead them on the right path. I have always had a love for animals so getting to work with them sounds like the perfect job. Growing up I have owned many animals from dogs to rabbits to birds to baby chicks to guinea pigs to hamsters and turtles. I also grew up around many cats because my grandma had this cat at her house that would just keep on getting pregnant, ever since I was little my aunt and I would care for the baby kittens and feed the ones that were not getting fed as much by the mom with little baby bottles for them.
