Hello! My name is Hannibal. The profile example says “I grew up around animals[...]”— but I can more accurately say that I grew up *with* them. I have to thank my own first babysitter, a German Shepard named Oggie, for fostering my love of animals. He sparked an endless curiosity that led me into studying zoology at large and I like to think he likewise imprinted on me the natural desire to nurture others. I love to work with animals above all else. Currently, I work a seasonal acting job and freelance my small business the rest of the year, but my dream is to run a rehabilitation center, to dedicate myself to providing care for wild animals, rescues and exotic pets. I’ve raised and cared for a great many different pets over the years, from cats and dogs to invertebrates and exotics. I have extensive experience with older and disabled/specialized needs pets, as well as field experience with larger wild animals and farm animals. I happily offer care and individual attention for many types of animals— no exclusions, ALL species welcome. (However, I will admit to having an extra soft spot for exotic pets.) My services include pet sitting, walking, grooming, feeding, tank/enclosure maintenance, enrichment, and more. For smaller animals go (those that live in cages, aquariums, terrariums, etc), I can offer overnight care and extended petsitting in my own home; at this time, I cannot board larger animals. I currently have a very flexible schedule and availability. I’m greatly looking forward to meeting more lovely creatures in need of an extra helping hand!
